Aksaray University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences which has started its activities at 1993-1994 academic term with 73 students is one of the deep-rooted faculty of our university. Our faculty has been begun to offer Master’s Degree in Business Administration since 2009-2010 academic term and Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Business Administration since 2012. In addition to these, Master’s Degree program with a dissertation in Management and Organisation, and Master’s Degree program without a dissertation in Business Administration, in Management and Organisation, in Health Facilities Management and Economics have been introduced in 2012 and started to accept students. Master’s Degree program with a dissertation in Production Management and Marketing has been provided in 2013. Also, it has been planned to accept students for Master’s Degree program with a dissertation and Master’s Degree program without a dissertation in Accounting and Finance. Our faculty offers undergraduate and doctoral degrees to national and international students as well as 3 Master’s Degree programs with a dissertation and 3 Master’s Degree programs without a dissertation.
Our department aims to instil a holistic perspective of contemporary business administration through its five undergraduate departments (Management and Organisation, Production Management and Marketing, Numerical Methods, Accounting and Finance and Commercial Law).
The aim of the Department of Business Administration is to educate creative, inquisitive managers and entrepreneurs required by the private and public sectors who are equipped with universal moral values, adopt the principle of lifelong learning, and comply with the requirements of contemporary business understanding, and are sensitive to society
After the graduating from our faculty, the students can work at the industrial and trade institutions in private sectors, banks, intermediary firms, independent auditing firms, rating bureaus, insurance companies, foreign trade companies, advertising, logistics, tourism and consulting companies and also they can work at different levels of public institutions such as Central Bank of Turkey, Undersecretariat of Treasury, Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, State Planning Organisation, Revenue Administration, and Istanbul Gold Exchange.
The Mission of the Department of Business is to educate individuals who adopt an interactive education system, are open to learning, acquired to research, analysis and synthesis abilities, have social and ethical values.
The Vision of the Department of Business is to educate a large number of workers who can serve at upper stages in both private and public sectors and produce a vast number of the theses which are completed and qualified within a short term. Within the long term, it is aimed to be one of the top ten qualified business faculty.
