The Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Aksaray University, commenced its educational activities in the 1993–1994 academic year with 73 students and is one of the University's longest-established departments. The Department launched its Master's program in Business Administration in the 2009–2010 academic year and its PhD program in Business Administration in 2012. In the same year, the Department introduced a thesis-based Master's program in Management and Organization, as well as non-thesis Master's programs in Business Administration, Management and Organization, and Healthcare Institutions Management and Economics. The thesis-based Master's program in Production Management and Marketing began operating in 2013.
In addition to its undergraduate and doctoral programs, the Department provides education to national and international students through four thesis-based and five non-thesis Master's programs. The thesis-based Master's programs are offered in Business Administration, Management and Organization, Production Management and Marketing, and Accounting and Finance. The non-thesis Master's programs are offered in Business Administration, Management and Organization, Production Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, and Healthcare Institutions Management.
The Department comprises five academic divisions and aims to foster a comprehensive perspective on contemporary business administration. These divisions are Management and Organization, Production Management and Marketing, Quantitative Methods, Accounting and Finance, and Commercial Law.

The aim of the Department is to educate managers and entrepreneurs who meet the needs of the private and public sectors, embrace universal ethical values, adopt the principle of lifelong learning, adapt to the requirements of contemporary business administration, demonstrate social responsibility, and possess creative and critical thinking skills.
